Daniela A Ion is the Principal, Registered Migration Agent and founder of Global Migration Assistance.

Having migrated from Romania to Australia, Daniela has firsthand experience of the migration process which eventually developed into a keen interest in migration/immigration law.

Daniela has a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and Practice obtained through Murdoch University, Western Australia. In addition, Daniela has a Bachelor of Arts (Security, Terrorism and Counter-terrorism), Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and Juris Doctor. She has previously worked as a Barrister in Romania and was admitted as a Solicitor & Barrister of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in July 2016.

Daniela has a clear commitment to social justice for migrants and refugees, and for her hard work she was awarded the Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law & Practice Social Justice Scholarship.

Daniela has a speciality in understanding and working with different cultural groups. She has a particular interest in refugee visas, partner visas and partner visas applications for clients who were victims of family violence and who sought to apply for a permanent partner visa on the grounds of family violence or on the basis of care and custody of a child.

Using her legal background, Daniela also works on various complex migration matters, such as visa cancellation, Notice of Intention to Consider Cancellation (NOICC), Administrative Appeal Tribunal hearing and Ministerial Intervention. However, Daniela can assist her clients for any type of visa application.

Daniela is described as very family oriented, trustworthy, honest, reliable and caring. She is dedicated to providing the best service and wants the best outcome for her clients and their family.

Daniela is member of the Women Lawyers of Western Australia.
